Engagement procedures
1. LSPD does not fire first with lethal weapons.
2. Lethal weapons are only to be used:
A. If suspect is actively shooting at officers
B. If suspect does not comply after being repeatedly tasered
C. If suspect does not comply after considerable warning that you will use deadly force
D. To disable suspects vehicle or tyres if they are evading
3. Lethal weapons are NOT to be used:
A. If suspect is standing still (typing)
B. If suspect has weapon out and is not shooting
4. Taser is only to be used:
A. To defend yourself and others in lethal and non-lethal situations
B. If suspect does not comply after several warnings
C. If suspect is evading
D. To get suspect out of vehicle
5. Driveby is allowed when:
A. Suspects are in vehicle and are shooting
B. Suspect has vehicle faster than PD patrol vehicle
C. Warning has been given that you will open fire (/m)
D. Suspect is evading on foot - taser only
E. Suspect is on foot and opening fire on your vehicle.
F. Permission given from ranking officer (Senior Officer+), e.g. if the pursuit has gone on for a long time, or suspects are declared armed and dangerous.
6. Exceptions to the above rules:
A. With permission by Senior Officer+ or highest ranking available at their discretion, lethal force can be permitted to Officers if the situation requires.
B. If suspects are reported armed and dangerous and have already shot at officer. A shoot on site protocal may be given by Senior Officer+ or highest ranking available.
General Procedures
1. An LSPD Officer is allowed to frisk a person if:
A. The LSPD Officer has a suspect in custody.
B. The LSPD Officer has got approval by court (Search Warrant).
C. Within reason during an RP scenario. Eg; Individual found near to a positive weed plant.
2. An LSPD Officer is allowed to neglect normal traffic laws when:
A. The LSPD Officer is on its' way to an emergency with Code 2/3
B. The LSPD Officer is chasing a fleeing suspect
3. An LSPD Officer is allowed to use their duty vehicle sirens when:
A. The LSPD Officer is on its' way to an emergency with Code 2/3
B. The LSPD Officer is chasing a fleeing suspect
C. When performing a roadblock
D. When performing a traffic stop
4. An LSPD Officer is NOT allowed to carkill anyone regardless the situation.
5. An LSPD Officer is always allowed to ask for backup from other officers or the SWAT division.
6. An LSPD Officer is allowed to request cancel suspect for criminals when they have been punished in a RP way.
7. An LSPD Officer SHOULD respond to ALL C30 or armed suspects call. An LSPD Officer should drop all of his activities to respond to the call for example;
A. The LSPD Officer is on a traffic stop, he should let the driver go immediately with a verbal warning.
B. The LSPD Officer is investigating a suspect at the PD, he should detain the suspect in the cells temporarily until the situation is over.
8. An LSPD Officer should NOT abuse the use of C30 in any situation. Only use it if you are:
A. Surrounded by a bunch of armed criminals.
B. Being kidnapped.
C. Receiving heavy shots.
9. Only Senior Officer+ can over take a situation and handle it if he feels that the officer handling it is doing the wrong procedures.
10. Only Senior Officer+ and Officer in-charge of a situation can give orders to other units in the situation.
11. A cadet or an officer can not over take a situation from another partner (of the same rank) if he feels he is doing something wrong; in such case, you have two options either advise the officer of the right procedures or report it to Sergeants+. If there is a senior officer available ask him to come to the situation..
12. An LSPD officer is ONLY allowed to conduct investigations, undercover work, intelligence gathering after a permission given from Senior Officer +
13. No returning after death unless you have permission from the suspect player
14. No re-suspecting after a suspect escapes, unless you have permission from the suspect player
